New Year's Eve

Spending the day with the family today. Have to head out tomorrow at noon to start orientation and probably won't be back for a couple months or so. Will be out with a trainer for six weeks then, if everything goes right, I'll get my own truck and fly solo! I will definitely miss the family, but looking forward to being gainfully employed (again) and earning some money. It will be a great journey!

My Jewish friend, Bret Reinbold, is asking for your prayers. He's just had had his 4th surgery for his arm and found out on Friday that he has have to have a 5th, using donor bone. He doesn't know how he feels about it, but is terrified as it's his last chance for his right forearm. Would you please stop right now a pray for Bret? Thank you.

Snowball Fights

Had a chance to get out, shovel some snow today and help build a "snow fort" with the kids. Good times. Next week I'll probably be gone for six weeks or more. I'm so very blessed to have the chance to do this now.

Rendered this piece after trying out a kind of new font I was working on. Took a few days (all week) after deciding what I wanted to do with it. Still needs a little tweaking with the light source and shading, but thought I would go ahead and post it now. It's pen and ink - black and gray....
